Les missions
 

1. Key responsibilities – SHORT TERM :

• Becoming the local CSR coordination point for China and Asia. Linking with central CSR, operational teams, sales teams and management. Understanding fully the CSR policy and helping / training local teams to understand it, apply it and share it with external stakeholders. Suggesting improvements, for local or global aspects.

• Becoming an expert user of company’s extra-financial reporting tool. Supporting teams to fill their reporting, checking availability and accuracy of reporting. Using it to provide management, and commercial teams with analysis supporting their decisions and communication. Linking with central CSR team to support Group reporting effort and analysis.

• Become an expert user of company's Life-Cycle Assessment tool and gradually take direct ownership of the analysis for Asia, under the support and supervision of the Group LCA central expert. Support local teams in their eco-design efforts, training them, helping them to make the right choices. Support to sales and client teams to « see » the impact and improve.

• Support local teams, starting with China, in their efforts towards better CSR results, be it in the social, environmental or compliance aspects. For China, these tasks are to be done under the direct supervision of China COO and in close link and cooperation with all the China teams, starting with production Directors and finance & HR Director.

2. Key responsibilities – MEDIUM-TERM :

• In addition to the above responsibilities, further roles may be added to the China and Asia CSR project manager’s role depending on his/her capabilities and aspirations and company’s needs. These additional tasks may include:

• Expanding project management support to other sites in Asia that may need CSR support to improve their practice.

• Support to the company’s internal audit practice. Helping sites to prepare to external audits, performing internal audits, helping to improve internal audit practice (audit grid, action log follow-ups)

• Support strengthening of social compliance actions. Support social certification projets, etc.

Our Vision :

  • The CSR team never acts as a “vertical”, hierarchical function. It has a transversal role and supports management, but management keeps the full decisions and responsibility. CSR’s role is to help them to achieve their CSR goals. This requires strong soft-skills, emotional intelligence, from the CSR team members.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills. We need a scientific approach; we need to prove our talk. But we also need to explain simply complex issues to people who are not familiar with the CSR and environmental concepts.
